- 2011-12 Leaves and Sabbaticals
Forty-three Cal State Fullerton faculty members will be taking sabbaticals and leaves for projects ranging from research and writing books to creating artwork and furthering technical skills. Among the leaves approved by President Milton A. Gordon, were four yearlong leaves.
- Midsummer Night in the Fullerton Arboretum
The Fullerton Arboretum hosts its annual fundraiser, "Midsummer Night in the Garden" July 16 on the Orchard Lawn. This year's theme is "Flavors of California," where guests can enjoy the cool evening air while they dine al fresco.

The Washington, D.C., based Education Trust completed the first-ever analysis of federal net-price data (drawn from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System) and discovered that Cal State Fullerton is a national leader in price, quality and accessibility and one of only five of the nation's nearly 1,200 four-year colleges and universities doing a good job of serving low-income students.

Health care providers, elected officials and business, education and community leaders gathered on campus May 26 to identify the best practices in promoting healthy living and to kick off a campaign aimed at reducing obesity in Orange County at the "Making Connections: Move More, Eat Healthy OC Summit."
