“Midsummer Night in the Garden”

Arboretum Hosts Evening of Dining and Entertainment Under the Stars

The Fullerton Arboretum hosts its annual fundraiser, “Midsummer Night in the Garden,” July 16 on the Orchard Lawn. This year’s theme is “Flavors of California,” where guests can enjoy the evening air while dining al fresco.

Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with a champagne reception and silent auction before the party moves to the lawn for fine cuisine, wine and moonlit dancing featuring the music of the On the Lam Band. A live auction will take place on the lawn. During the festivities, Cynthia and Richard Foster will be recognized for their contributions to the Arboretum and the community with this year’s Arboretum Golden Oak award.

Tickets are available now on the Arboretum website or by calling Janet McGarvey at 657-278-4792. Tickets are $125 per person.

Established in 1979, the Fullerton Arboretum serves the community as a resource for ecological, horticultural and historical education. Admission is free, however voluntary contributions at the front gate are encouraged to support the gardens and educational programs. It is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
