CSUF's history honor society, Theta-Pi, has won best chapter honors and its journal, the Welebaethan, has been named the best in the nation, both receiving the top awards from Phi Alpha Theta every year for nearly three decades.
Professors Robert D. Kersey, Lee Brown and Jared W. Coburn have won awards. Kersey was named "Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer" by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Brown and Coburn were honored by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
