Poland

One of my experiences involved a solo piano concert at the
Trybunal in Old Town Lublin, the same venue where Poland’s president Lech Kaczyncki was to appear a week before my concert. The audience consisted of people of all ages, and the room was filled to capacity, with many people placed in adjacent rooms and others sitting on the floor. The audience enthusiastically engaged in sing-alongs that made this event an evening to remember.

Without a doubt, my Fulbright in Poland was one of the most rewarding experiences in my academic career. With education as our top priority, I believe the right course is set for acquiring a level of tolerance and sensitivity that will bring us closer to a world of peace.
