A variety of natural materials were used to built the Performing Arts Center, including Rheinzink – the zinc material employed for the angular, peaked roof – concrete, aluminum and wood. The materials create a warm, colorful mix as portions of the building blend together in a harmony of angular peaks.
Architects worked to ensure that the new Performing Arts Center works well with the existing center, the two buildings now functioning essentially as one larger entity. In addition, the center unites the visual and performing arts functions with the rest of the campus. |
