Making a difference

As hard as times are for educators these days, I still love what I do, because itís not about the money or the benefits. Itís about the kids. The first time one of my former students came back to visit me and told me they missed me, it all became worth it. I know I make a difference in lives. Isnít that what itís all about? To educate kids in not only the academic aspect, but also socially and emotionally. Iím all some kids have for support. The government canít get me down. I will teach regardless of the lack of respect and support I receive. I love going to work every day.
