Calling All Future Fulbrighters

Volker Janssen, once a Fulbright Scholar himself, is CSUF's new Fulbright Scholar program adviser and ready to help students and alumni apply for the prestigious study-abroad fellowships. He leads a Sept. 11 orientation for those interested in applying.

Preserving A Culture

Fulbright Scholar Tricia Gabany-Guerrero spent this summer in Mexico, where she made important discoveries while researching a pre-Hispanic civilization. Her discoveries include three new archaeological sites and eight Purépecha documents.

Fruits of Labor

Alumna Diana Lira pursued her bachelor's degree in international business to help her parents, who had lost a company to bankruptcy. Now, she is planning her departure for Mexico where, as a Fulbright Scholar, she will work and study for a year.

Surviving Wars

Graduate student S. Sattar Langary is studying at Cal State Fullerton as a Fulbright Scholar from Afghanistan. Having survived and lived as a refugee, he now fights for human rights and hopes to become a sociology professor.
