Cal State Fullerton Celebrates Commencement 2010

What: More than 10,000 graduates and candidates for graduation are eligible to participate in Cal State Fullerton’s 2010 Commencement ceremonies May 22-23. The main ceremonies are open to the public, and more than 50,000 celebrants are expected. Tickets are required for the college exercises that follow.

When/ Saturday, May 22, and Sunday, May 23
Where:
8 a.m. university ceremonies on the athletics field north of Titan Gym
10 a.m. (approximate) college and department exercises at various locations on campus — schedule follows.

Who: This year’s keynote speakers and honorary doctorate of humane letters recipients are: Paul Folino, executive chairman of Emulex Corp., who will take the podium May 23, and Rudy Hanley, president and CEO of SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, who will address attendees May 22.

More: The annual Honors Convocation to recognize student achievements will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 21, in the Meng Concert Hall of the university’s Clayes Performing Arts Center.

Also Friday, May 21:
10 a.m. — ROTC Commissioning Ceremony on the lawn of the Engineering and Computer Science complex
5 p.m. — Teacher Credential Ceremony in Titan Gym

Parking: Special Commencement parking permits required for on-campus parking. On-campus parking, limited to vehicles with three or more occupants, is on a first-come, first-served basis. Late arrivals or cars with fewer than three people will be directed to parking at Hope University, Troy High School and Western College of Law in the area directly surrounding Cal State Fullerton.
