Center for Economic Education

Promoting Education Of Economics

Working to improve economic understandings in schools and the local community

March 1, 2007

Established more than 20 years ago, the Center for Economic Education provides technical education services to improve the level of economic understanding in grades K-12, institutions of higher education and the surrounding community. It offers 11-week stock market simulations to regional junior and senior high school students and workshops on such topics as the economics of globalization for K-12 teachers.

Last fall, the center was honored by the National Center for Economic Education for serving the economic education needs of its service area. The center’s director is Chiara Gratton-Lavoie.
