Meeting of Town and Gown
CSUF Faculty Take Part in Fullerton Library Lecture Series

Ten Cal State Fullerton campus members will be discussing topics ranging from interview skills to evolution as the guest speakers for the upcoming “Town and Gown” lecture series at Fullerton Public Library.
The one-hour talks, slated for the second Tuesday of each month, kicks off at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, with a presentation titled “Interviewing Skills: Winning Your Dream Job” by Patty Malone, assistant professor of human communications studies who has worked in television, sales and corporate communications.

Nov. 13 — “Korean
Global Diaspora” by Kristine Dennehy, assistant professor of history
Dec. 11 — “Five
Holiday Stress Busters” by MacKenzie MacSween, assistant coordinator of
the Health Promotion Program, Center for Successful Aging
Jan. 8 — “The
New Creationism: Evolution and Intelligent Design” by James Hofmann, professor
of liberal studies
Feb. 12 — “Healthy
Romantic Relationships” by Deborah Edelman-Blank, counselor in Counseling
and Psychological Services
March 11 — “Magic
Math Tricks and Chocolate Math” by David Pagni, professor of mathematics
April 8 — “Celebrate
National Poetry Month” by Irena Praitis, associate professor of English,
comparative literature and linguistics
May 13 — “Fibromyalgia” by
C. Jessie Jones, professor of kinesiology
June 10 — “The
Value of Poetry” by JoAnn Cappeluti, lecturer in English, comparative literature
and linguistics
