Daily Titan Ad Staff Receives Awards
The newspaper was awarded prizes in six different categories

The Daily Titan ad staff won multiple awards at the annual CNBAM (College Newspaper Business Advertising Managers) Conference held Sat., March 31. The staff competed against teams that included the University of Pennsylvania, Yale University and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. More than 300 people participated in the competition, held in Portland, Oregon.
The Daily Titan ad staff took home prizes in the following categories:
- Best Of Category – Best Training Program
- First Place – Best Electronic Banner Ad – Display
- First place – Best Electronic Banner Ad – House
- Second Place – Best Newspaper Marketing/Promotion Plan
- Third Place – Best Sales Incentive Program
- Third Place – Best Classified Page/Section
This was followed by another win — this time from the Orange County Ad Club. Designer Keith Hansen and Webmaster Dan Beam won a silver award in the Element of Advertising category for their yearbook animation; and two awards of merit — one for Interactive Media Web Site for the Daily Titan Yearbook and the second for the Daily Titan History.
