Campus Architect Elected to Position on National Association

Jay Bond Will Serve as Board Treasurer for 2007-08

Jay Bond, associate vice president of facilities management at Cal State Fullerton, has been elected treasurer of the board of directors for the Association of University Architects.

He was elected to the position during the national organizations annual meeting June 25-28 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also is a member of the American Institute of Architects in Orange County and the Society for College and University Planning.

Bond, who earned an M.B.A. from Cal State Fullerton and a bachelor of science degree in architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, joined the university staff in 1990 and, from October 1994 to July 1996, served as acting vice president for administration. Previous to joining Cal State Fullerton’s administration, Bond was the chief architect for the California State University system, as an associate architect for University of California, Irvine, and in private architectural practice for seven years.
