Marcia Foster

Women's Basketball Assistant Invited to Coaching Excellence Program

Cal State Fullerton women's associate head basketball coach Marcia Foster has been invited to participate in the 2006 Black Coaches Association "Achieving Coaching Excellence" program June 4-7 in Indianapolis, Ind. Foster is one of just 11 collegiate female assistants coaches to receive an invitation.

The ACE program is designed to enhance opportunities for women of color in collegiate basketball and improve their preparedness to become a head coach. Since the program's launch in 2003, six of the 25 participants have gone on to fill head coaching jobs.

Foster was recently promoted to her associate head coaching position after spending the past three seasons as an assistant to Titans' head coach Maryalyce Jeremiah.
