Titan Magazine Editor Wins Public Relations Award

Cathi Douglas

Cathi Douglas, editor of the university publication Titan Magazine, was honored last month by the Public Relations Society of America, Orange County chapter.

The Cal State Fullerton alumna (B.A. communications – journalism ’80) received the Distinguished Service Award for an individual – the highest honor the chapter presents. It is in recognition of her long record of service with the chapter – including serving as the 2005-06 chair of the chapter’s Bylaws Review Committee – and leadership as chapter president in 2003. She has served for more than 15 years in public relations and has served as a mentor to others.

Douglas returned to her alma mater in 2000 after five years as director of public relations for Chapman University. Prior to that she worked for Amie’s Communication in Irvine and as assistant city editor of the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. Last year, Douglas was inducted to the CSUF Department of Communications Wall of Fame.
