Campus Holds Veterans Appreciation Night May 2

Cal State Fullerton hosts its third annual Veterans Appreciation Night on Sunday, May 2, in Portola Pavilion of the Titan Student Union. The free event, from 6 to 9 p.m., features dinner, a recognition program and music.

Sponsored by the university's Student Veterans Association and Veterans Student Services, the event formally recognizes student veterans, graduating veteran seniors, and students who soon will be deployed.

The keynote speaker for the evening is retired U.S. Marine Corps Col. Bucky Peterson. He currently serves as chair of the CSU Troops to College Program, overseeing these activities on 23 CSU campuses.

Other speakers will include President Milton A. Gordon and Joseph Chang, coordinator of Veterans Student Services.
