Cal State Fullerton's Professors of Philosophy Excel in Myriad Specialties

Cal State Fullerton's Department of Philosophy includes nine professors. They are:
- Mitch Avila, department chair and associate professor, who specializes in political liberalism, international human rights, feminist political theory and aesthetics (especially philosophy of film and photography)
- Heather D. Battaly, associate professor who specializes in epistemology, ethics and virtue theory
- Matthew Calarco, assistant professor who specializes in contemporary continental philosophy and animal and environmental philosophy
- Amy Coplan, assistant professor who specializes in ancient Greek philosophy, moral psychology and aesthetics (especially philosophy of film)
- John K. Davis, assistant professor who specializes in bioethics, philosophy of law and ethical theory
- Emily S. Lee, assistant professor who specializes in phenomenology, feminist philosophy and philosophy of race
- Jeeloo Liu, assistant professor who specializes in metaphysics, philosophy of mind, philosophy of language and Chinese philosophy
- Ryan Nichols, assistant professor who specializes in early modern philosophy, experimental philosophy and philosophy of religion
- Shari Neller Starrett, associate professor who specializes in Hegel, Nietzsche, contemporary continental philosophy and philosophy of feminism
