H1N1 Flu Shot Clinic Thursday

Campus to Provide Free Shots to Students, Faculty and Staff

February 8, 2010

Members of the campus community are invited to receive a free H1N1 flu shot Thursday, Feb. 11 in Portola Pavilion of the Titan Student Union. The 9 a.m.-3 p.m. clinic is sponsored by the Student Health and Counseling Center in cooperation with Student Affairs and the Nursing Department.

The service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

A Titan card will be required to receive the vaccine and attendees must be able to provide their CWID number. (A computer will be set up to check this for faculty and staff members.)

“Even though H1N1 is decreasing, people are still getting the virus,” said Kathy Spofford, associate director of the Student Health and Counseling Center. “Getting the vaccine is the best prevention and it is being offered for free.”
