Titan Baseball Picked to Win in Pre-Season Poll
Team Will Stage Midnight Practice Feb. 1 to Kick Off Season

In a preseason poll of the nine head coaches, Cal State Fullerton was picked to win the 2009 Big West Conference baseball championship.
The Titans, co-champions last season with Long Beach State, received seven first-place votes to edge UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara for the top spot. UCSB and Cal State Long Beach, picked fourth, received the other two first-place votes. Ranked behind the 49ers are Cal Poly, UC Riverside, UC Davis, Cal State Northridge and Pacific.
The Titan baseball team will follow in the footsteps of basketball and stage a "Midnight" practice to open the season on Sunday, Feb. 1 (after Saturday midnight of Jan. 31).
