June Youth Soccer Clinic

Program Part of Green Your Life Festival

June 9, 2009

Cal State Fullerton's Titan Soccer Program is partnering with university alumnus and State Sen. Lou Correa (D-Santa Ana), the city of Anaheim, Soccer Central and Adidas in hosting a Saturday, June 20, festival and soccer clinic at Maxwell Park, 2560 W. Broadway, Anaheim.

The Titan Soccer Clinic is part of the Green Your Life Festival, a 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. program to promote healthy living and increase awareness of environmental issues, such as recycling, conservation and how to make your home more energy efficient. As part of the day’s festivities, Anaheim will plant its 40,000th tree and Goodwill Industries will be collecting e-waste, such as computers, TVs and cell phones. There will be tours of the Haskett Branch Library, as well as a puppet show, arts and crafts and a scavenger hunt for children.

The 10 a.m. to noon soccer clinic is open to youth from 6 to 17 years of age and will cover such soccer skills as passing, trapping, juggling, heading, shooting and dribbling. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. that day on site; preregistration can be done through June 15 by calling 714-558-4400.
