Campus to Host CSU Media Arts Festival

Student Submissions Sought by Oct. 5

Cal State Fullerton will be hosting the CSU’s 19th annual Media Arts Festival Saturday, Nov. 7, featuring the creative efforts of students throughout the 23-campus system.

For the 19th annual festival, entries are being sought from student producers of films, videos, screenplays and interactive media.

The deadline for submissions is Oct. 5. Entry form, rules, qualifications, category definitions and submission requirements are available online: http://www.mediaartsfestival.org/.

Submission categories are: Narrative, Animation, Music Video, Experimental, Documentary, Television, Interactive Media, Short Screenplay, and Featured Screenplay.

All entries meeting requirements will be viewed or read by a jury of industry professionals. Winners in each category and the winner of “Best in Show” will be selected.

A free, public screening and awards ceremony of the winners and finalists will be held the evening of Nov. 7.

Prizes include:
$1,000 and Rosebud Award for “Best in Show”
$500 and Rosebud Award to a winner in each category
$250 to the campus department of each winning category
Place Awards also will be given in each category
An Audience Choice Award will be selected at the festival’s public screening by the audience.
