Sept. 13 • 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
ASI Block Party
Free; Titan Student Union/Titan Walk
This event highlights the programs and services available through Associated Students Inc. Featured will be outdoor entertainment, an information fair, give-aways and food. At noon, students will be invited to celebrate the university’s 50th anniversary with lunch and birthday cake.

Convocation
Meng Hall/Performing Arts Center
President Milton A. Gordon delivers his annual convocation address before invited students, faculty and staff members — his 18th since he began his presidency in 1990. Joining the president as keynote speaker will be Titan alumnus Jack O’Connell (B.A. history ’73), state superintendent of public instruction. Faculty and staff can view the event live from their computers and students can watch on television in the Titan Student Union.

Atrium Gallery Exhibition

Incorporating a multimedia approach, this commemorative exhibit takes visitors on a journey through the university’s history — developments, achievements and changes — as well as a look ahead to tomorrow’s possibilities.

Smithsonian exhibit: Exit Saigon, Enter Little Saigon

A celebration of cultural diversity, this traveling exhibit tells the story of the Vietnamese American experience in America, from their significant influx in 1975 to the present. Recounting a journey 30 years in the making, the presentation showcases themes of challenges, contributions and change, emphasizing the vibrant diversity of the community. Cal State Fullerton brings this exhibition to Orange County for the debut of a 3-year national tour.

An intergenerational 1K walk for seniors and children and a 5K run for CSUF faculty, staff, students and parents and area residents will highlight this event, aimed at inviting the community to participate in health-enhancing activities. The Expo also will raise awareness about the College of Health and Human Development’s programs and services.

Proceeds will provide a local Fullerton elementary school with exercise equipment and educational materials to support healthy lifestyle/behaviors and sponsor a senior in
the Senior Olympics.
