Engineering Students Share Good Times

My most memorable times at CSUF involved being active in the many clubs available on campus. One year, ASME traveled out of town to participate in the HPV race (Human Powered Vehicle). We were to have two races: one with a full fairing (about 8-10 feet long), and one with a short fairing. We hedged our bets by only making one long one. That night, after the first race, we cut the fairing in half on the balcony of our hotel room to get the smaller fairing for the next race. Talk about good times! I will never forget the good times I had during college, and the good friends I met there.

RIP, Cute Little Humanities Squirrels

I remember the cute squirrels by the Humanities-Social Sciences building. Or was it the Education Classroom building?  It's been so long since I graduated that I can't remember for sure which building it was, only that I always enjoyed watching the squirrels.

Swimming Pool Supergraphic?

If it still exists, I designed and hand painted [with fellow classmates] a 100-foot-long supergraphic located on the wall next to the competition pool at Cal State Fullerton. It was estimated to last five years back in 1972 and I last visited it around 1996.

I still have the four-foot original artwork that won the competition and we reproduced to scale. Might be fun to tell the story behind it, if it is still there after 35 years!
