Titans Honored for Season Efforts
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Gave Salute March 27
April 1, 2008
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim saluted the 2007-08 Cal State Fullerton men's basketball team prior to their exhibition game Thursday, March 27, at Angel Stadium.
Coach Bob Burton threw out the ceremonial first pitch to Angels rookie Brandon Wood as the team lined up behind the pitcher's mound. The Angels made 500 tickets available to Cal State Fullerton students and staff members for the game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, which ended in a 2-2 tie after 10 innings.
Earlier in the day, Burton did an in-studio segment on ESPN radio 710 AM with Steve Mason, a week to the day after the Titans' loss to Wisconsin in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, where Fullerton competed for the first time since 1978.
