University Welcomes Fall Semester with Series of Celebrations

Concert Under the Stars
Campus and community members can enjoy a night of music and dance performed by College of the Arts' award-winning theatre and dance students Friday, Sept. 10.

Cal State Fullerton kicks off the fall with several celebrations.

Campus faculty and staff members are invited to attend the all-university Convocation at noon Wednesday, Sept. 8, in Portola Pavilion of the Titan Student Union.

President Milton A. Gordon will welcome the campus community back and outline last year’s campus achievements and goals for the coming year. The program is followed by a reception in Portola Pavilion C.

On the heels of Convocation is the 21st annual Concert Under the Stars Friday, Sept. 10, on the ath-letic field north of the Kinesiology and Health Science Building.

Campus and community members can enjoy al fresco dining commencing at 6 p.m., followed by a revue of “One Hundred Years of Broadway” performed by musical theatre students as well as special performances by alumni. Fireworks conclude the evening’s festivities.

Tuesday, Sept. 14, Student Affairs and Associated Students Inc. will host a celebration honoring the 2004 World Champion Titan baseball team. Festivities will commence at noon in the Quad.
