College of Education Proposal
Scheduled for Referendum Vote
May 12, 2004
A referendum vote has been called by faculty
regarding the plan to establish a College of Education.
Members of the Senate electorate will vote on whether to approve
the action taken by the Academic Senate at its April 22 meeting.
At that meeting, the Senate voted to receive and endorse the report
of an ad hoc committee established to review a proposal to restructure
the College of Human Development and Community Services in order
to create a College of Education. In its report, the ad hoc committee
recommends the creation of a College of Education. A copy of the
report is available on the Academic
Senate home page.
Ballots will be available online from Friday, May
14, through Wednesday, May 19.
