Business Leaders to Share Knowledge as Professors for a Day

October 28, 2003 :: No. 85

What: What would cause 120 business leaders to enter a college classroom? The chance to share their expertise with future business executives as part of Cal State Fullerton’s College of Business and Economics annual “Professors for a Day.”
When: Tuesday, Nov. 4, and Wednesday, Nov. 5
Where: Most classes will be held in Langsdorf Hall.
Who: Among the participants are (CSUF alumni noted by their year of graduation):
Annette Feliciani (B.A. ’80), president, AEF Systems Consulting Inc.
Ian Crockett (B.A. ’81), president, and Wes Phillips, CEO, Hunter Barth Inc.
Gene Micco (B.A. ’76), president and CEO, Tustin Community Bank
Deborah Richert (B.A. ’75), vice president, CFO and COO, Arrowhead Financial Group
Gary W. Lisenbee (B.A. ’73, M.A. ’77), president, Metropolitan West Capital Management
Why: “Our students welcome the opportunity to hear from those who were once in their shoes and are now successful in their careers,” said Katrin Harich, associate dean of the College of Business and Economics. “Those business leaders who participate love to share their experiences with the students. They report feeling invigorated after their visits,” she noted. “ Over the years, the interest of the business community has increased for Professor for a Day – so much so, that several are taking part not only as speakers but as sponsors.”
Sponsors: Supporting the event are Wertz & Co., Pacific Mercantile Bank, Pacific Snapple Distributors and Pat & Oscars.
