Congratulating President Gordon following his Sept. 12 convocation address are, from left, Claire Cavallaro, new dean of the College of Education; Donald Castro, special assistant to the President; and Ernestine Myrick of the Equal Opportunity Program. During the program, Gordon mentioned his continuing goal of faculty and staff requirement and retention, including efforts to bring equity to salaries. He also mentioned that the university will celebrate its 50th anniversary during the 2006-07 academic year. Kick off of the festivities will be Sept. 14 during a convocation, all university lunch and concert under the stars.
