Kicking off his Sept. 12 convocation address, President Milton A. Gordon beamed as he introduced members of his advisory board, the Academic Senate, new appointments and a valued member of his staff, Norma Morris, who this fall began her 40th year with the university. On the top of his highlights for the year, Gordon mentioned the success recruitment of 92 new tenure-track faculty members, the addition of six visiting scholars and the university’s athletic achievements. He noted that the previous year was the most successful in CSUF history with highlights in women’s soccer, softball and baseball.
