For more than an hour, Costner — who earned his bachelor’s degree
in business administration at CSUF in 1978 — fielded questions from the
audience who clapped and laughed as he told stories of his adventures in the
film business. Using a cordless microphone, he walked along the aisles and
back and forth in front of the stage, calling on students.
“Movies — when at their
best — are really about moments we’ll never, ever forget,” Costner
said, sharing how he decided to be an actor and how making that decision made
him feel “great,” even though it would be years before he found
success.
