During the Aug. 23 Academic Senate meeting, Diana Guerin, chair of the Academic Senate, right, gives a flower bouquet and a special keychain to alumna and longtime campus supporter Peggy Hammer (B.A. speech ’66, M.A. teacher education ’70) in recognition of her dedication to education and her alma mater. Hammer was recently honored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) with its Ernest T. Stewart Award for Alumni Volunteer Involvement, the highest honor presented by the organization to an alumni volunteer.
