CSUF’s Pakistani Student Association
Celebrates Independence

print

July 11, 2003

The Pakistani Student Association (PSA) at Cal State Fullerton has continually made conscious efforts to educate themselves, as well as others, about their culture. In addition, the PSA has remained committed to focusing on understanding values of different cultures. Through cultural education and commitment, this student group seeks to provide rich experiences for the campus and the community. This year, the Pakistani Students Association, with support from the Association for Intercultural Awareness (AICA-ASI), are proud to present:

7th Annual Pakistan Independence Day
6 p.m. to midnight
Saturday, August 16, 2003
College of Engineering and Computer Science Lawn, Cal State Fullerton
Free admission
Free parking (Lots E & F)

The purpose of this event is to bring together the Pakistani and non-Pakistani communities to celebrate gratitude and love for Pakistan by showcasing the rich culture with authentic food, clothing and cultural performances. It is anticipated that over 7,000 Pakistanis and non-Pakistanis from Southern California will join in the celebration at this event, which is the largest student organized independence day event presented on the West Coast. Everyone is welcome. The Pakistani Student Association looks forward to the support of the campus and community by joining the celebration and raising multicultural awareness in the community.
