Noted Physician to Speak
on Doctors Without Borders

The Anthropology Department is sponsoring a lecture Thursday, Oct. 30, with Deborah Milligan, a physician at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center who has just returned from abroad having served with Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sons Frontières.

Milligan will discuss her experiences in Azerbaijan and Kenya with the organization that provides emergency aid to victims of armed conflict, as well as others who lack health care due to social or geographical isolation.

The lecture begins at 4 p.m. in Room 199 of the Kinesiology and Health Sciences Building. Admission is free and open to the public.
