print

September 12, 2003 :: No. 38

What: Cal State Fullerton launches its free bus program for students, faculty, and staff with a kickoff event Monday, Sept. 15. Attendees can visit information tables for assistance with trip planning and details about bus routes.

When/Where: 10 a.m. in the Quad
10:50 a.m. program with remarks by CSUF President Milton A. Gordon and Greg Winterbottom, vice chairman of the Orange County Transportation Authority.

Background: The university’s Parking and Transportation Services has teamed up with the Orange County Transportation Authority to launch a University Pass program. Beginning Sept. 15, students, faculty and staff members with a valid TitanCard can ride OCTA buses by swiping their TitanCard through the bus farebox as they board. The program is free to riders and available all day, every day. The U-Pass is valid for travel on all OCTA routes to all destinations and is being funded by parking ticket revenues.
