Sixth Annual Camp Titan Holiday Toy Drive Begins November 11

November 8, 2004

Donated toys to benefit underprivileged children in Orange County

Camp Titan, the recognized philanthropy of the Associated Students, CSUF Inc. will hold its annual Holiday Toy Drive from Nov. 11 through Dec. 16, 2004. All donations from the toy drive will go to underprivileged children in Orange County, ages 7 to 14.

“The toy drive is a wonderful opportunity for CSUF students to get involved in giving back to the community, especially during the holiday season when it’s needed the most,” said Alex Chung, Camp Titan co-director.

All members of the campus community are invited to participate in the toy drive by choosing a child’s name and age from the snowman basket in the Titan Student Union lobby. All participants are asked to purchase and return an age-appropriate, unwrapped toy to TSU Information & Services by Dec. 16. Donated gifts will be distributed by Camp Titan student organizers at a holiday party later in December.

Camp Titan is an American Camping Association-accredited camp and a recognized LA Times summer camp. Camp Titan is funded through student fees, Greek Week activities and private donations. For more information about the Holiday Toy Drive, call the Camp Titan office at 657-278-3036.
