Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary
Offers Workshop on Local Birds

What: Orange County residents can learn about the wide variety of birds native to canyon areas, during a Local Birds Workshop in the rustic surroundings of the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary, operated by Cal State Fullerton.
   
When: Saturday, April 17
9 - 10:30 a.m.
   
Who: Sylvia Gallagher of the Sea and Sage Audubon Society will conduct the workshop, which includes discussion, a slide show and a bird walk. More than two dozen species of birds frequent the canyons, in addition to a variety of migrating birds that stop in the area. Visitors also will see spring flowers and plants in bloom.
   
Where: The Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary is located near the end of Modjeska Canyon Road in south Orange County. Take Santiago Canyon Road to Modjeska Canyon Road and proceed to the sanctuary, which is near the fire station.
   
Fee: $3 for preregistered participants, $4 at the door
