Planning” sponsored by the Cal State Fullerton’s
College of Business Administration and Economics Family Business

Otis Baskin, professor of management at Pepperdine
University and an associate of the Family Business Consulting
Group Inc., will discuss the different types of leadership transition,
how to overcome resistance to transferring powers, how to prepare
a business for succession, and the process for choosing a successor,
as well as ides for new roles, new careers and post-retirement
activities. |

The council hosts monthly workshops on a wide
range of topics: upcoming sessions will address leadership and
delegation in January, compensation for family and non-family
employees in February and conflict resolution in March. |
