Cal State Fullerton was recently
honored by the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities
with the Outstanding HACU Member Institution Award for
“extraordinary efforts and success” in advancing
the mission and goals of the association. President Milton
A. Gordon accepted the honor during the organization’s
17th annual conference Oct. 18-21 in Garden Grove. Pictured
with Gordon, center in top photo, is HACU President Antonio
Flores, left, and Miguel Palacios, president of Pima County
Community College District. On the first night of the
conference, the university hosted a dinner at El Dorado
Ranch. Among the attendees were, from left in center photo,
CSU student trustees Alex Lopez and Eric Guerra, Assemblyman
Lou Correa (D-Santa Ana) and Isaac Cardenas, chair and
professor of Chicana and Chicano studies. Also enjoying
the festivities, in photo below, were alumnus Henry Mendoza
(B.A. business administration-accounting ’81), left,
and his wife, Rosa, with Anil K. Puri, dean of the College
of Business and Economics. |
