print

June 02, 2003 :: No. 3

Four Cal State Fullerton students are recipients of the 2003/2004 Edison International Teachers for Tomorrow Scholarship.

The recipients are Elvira Bermudez of Anaheim, Rocio Diaz and Amie Howell of Garden Grove and Allison Thomas of Tustin.

CSU Chancellor Charles B. Reed noted that the $5,000 awards recognize “superior academic performance and personal commitment to being the kind of teacher who makes a difference in the lives of students every day.”

“It is a distinct honor to have four of Cal State Fullerton’s teacher education students receive a 2003/2004 Edison International Teachers for Tomorrow Scholarship,” noted Mickey Hollis, acting associate dean of the College of Human Development and Community Service and director of the School of Education. “They are a credit to our programs,” he added.
