Cal State Fullerton has moved up to fifth in the nation in Diverse Issues in Higher Education’s annual ranking of colleges and universities for the number of bachelor’s degrees awarded to minority students. The previous year’s rank for CSUF was sixth.
The listing, based on 2008-09 data from the U.S. Department of Education, was published in the magazine’s “Top 100 Degree Producers” June 10 issue and posted online.
Cal State Fullerton also ranks first in California and fifth in the nation for the number of degrees awarded to Hispanics — rankings that match those published earlier this year by Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education.

Cal State Fullerton also ranks within the top 25 universities for degrees awarded to all minorities in English and literature, health professions and psychology, plus ethnic, cultural and gender studies.
