As Cal State Fullerton students put the finishing touches on final projects and prepare for semester finals, the university kicks off the commencement season with a series of special events in recognition of graduates’ achievements.

Among the festivities scheduled this month are:
Thursday, May 11 from 5-8:30 p.m. —Seventh annual Pilipino American Graduation Celebration will feature keynote addresses by Philippine community and labor activist Velma Veloria and CSUF alumna Donna Delfin, founder and executive director of Katipunan-USA, a nonprofit humanitarian organization. Cal State Fullerton’s 47th annual universitywide commencement ceremonies are May 27-28. An Honors Convocation will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 26, in the Meng Concert Hall of the university’s Performing Arts Center.
