As Cal State Fullerton students put the finishing touches on final projects and prepare for semester finals, the university kicks off the commencement season with a series of special events in recognition of graduates’ achievements.

Among the festivities scheduled this month are:
Friday, May 13 — 6-8 p.m., inaugural Lavender Graduation, Portola Pavilion, Titan Student Union. Keynote speaker is Ronni Sanlo, director of the UCLA Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Campus Resource Center. For additional information, call 657-278-7366.

Saturday, May 14 — 5-10 p.m., 17th annual Chicano/Latino Graduate Recognition Ceremony, Portola Pavilion, Titan Student Union. Cal State Fullerton’s 46th annual universitywide commencement ceremonies are May 28-29. An Honors Convocation will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 27, in the Titan Student Union’s Portola Pavilion.
