Another Grammy?
Bill Cunliffe Nominated for Music Award
Feb. 10, 2011 :: No.
Last year, it was “third time's the charm” when Bill Cunliffe won a Grammy Award after being nominated twice before.
This year, the associate professor of music has been nominated once again — this time for a Grammy Award in best instrumental composition.
Cunliffe is nominated for “Fourth Stream … La Banda,” commissioned by Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance — he is a former Boyer faculty member — and performed by Temple’s Symphony Orchestra.
Will he be a two-time winner? Cunliffe will find out Feb. 13 when the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards gets under way in Los Angeles.
