Jr. Celebration” to celebrate the life of the late civil
rights leader. |

7 p.m. – CSUF President Milton A. Gordon to introduce
keynote speaker Rev. John McReynolds of 2nd Baptist Church
in Santa Ana, who will speak on the life of Martin Luther
King Jr.
Following McReynolds’ address, students from the Afro-ethnic
studies program will make remarks. Graduate student Doug Wooley
will speak on Rosa Parks and the beginnings of the civil rights
movement; senior John Russo will speak on the application
of King’s dream to today’s society, and senior
Joanna Norton will present a slide show in conjunction with
the speeches.
A performance by the Afro-Ethnic Community Ensemble will conclude
the evening. |
