Korean, Vietnamese and Chinese Classes
Offered by Cal State Fullerton at Garden Grove Center
Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Long Beach
will be offering three new classes beginning next month in Garden
Grove: “Fundamental Korean,” “Vietnamese for Vietnamese
Speakers” and “Mandarin Chinese for International Business.”
The classes are the result of a joint effort by both
universities.
Beginning the week of Aug. 30, the classes are being
offered at the CSUF Garden Grove Center. The courses are available
for credit to students enrolled in degree programs at the universities,
as well as to community members, who may enroll through University
Extended Education.
“There is a demand for these classes and by
offering them in Garden Grove, we can provide service to students
from both the Long Beach and Fullerton campuses,” said Angela
Della Volpe, associate dean of the CSUF College of Humanities and
Social Sciences.
The Korean language class meets Mondays and Thursdays
from 5-6:45 p.m.; the Mandarin Chinese class meets Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 7-8:15 p.m. and the Vietnamese course, which is designed
to help Vietnamese speakers improve their writing, reading and conversation
skills, meets Wednesdays and Fridays from 7-8:15 p.m.
