Through August, the program participants will attend
such courses as “Fundamentals of Italian,” “Italian
Cinema,” “The Renaissance” and “Contemporary
European Society.”
The Florence program has been offered by Cal State
Fullerton since summer 2002 and is open to all California State
University students who have completed 30 units of study with a
minimum 2.5 GPA. The students stay in a hotel near the CSU International
Program Study Center in Florence.
“I think that our young people are going to
go through a life-changing experience. The evidence of this is from
the other students who have gone abroad — they are creating
memories for the rest of their lives,” noted Angela Della
Volpe, associate dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
