Condoms Stir Debate On College Campus

There won't be any free condoms in a campus paper at a Southern California college.

Editors of the Daily Titan at Cal State, Fullerton, had planned to put 4,500 condoms in the November 14th edition. Dean of Students Bob Palmer says some students complained about the planned condom giveaway.

Palmer says instead, the paper will print coupons for free condoms. But Daily Titan executive editor Ian Hamilton doubts the coupons will do much good. He says more students are likely to get pregnant or contract disease, because they're too embarrassed to get a condom.
