Veterans' Day Parade, Ceremony on tap
Los Alamitos Training Base leader to serve as guest speaker.

FULLERTON — Major Gen. Paul Mock, commander of the 63rd Regional Readiness Command at Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base, will be the featured speaker at the 20th annual Fullerton Veterans' Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday.

The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Downtown Plaza on Wilshire Avenue east of Harbor Boulevard. Participants will walk north on Harbor Boulevard to Hillcrest Park for the 11 a.m. ceremony.

All veterans are welcome to join the parade, which will feature ROTC units from area high schools and from Cal State Fullerton. Parade walkers are asked to arrive at the plaza no earlier than 10 a.m. Veterans must be able to march in regular cadence for about three-quarters of a mile.

The Hlilcrest program will include the placement of wreaths at the Veterans' Memorial and the playing of "Taps."

Event sponsors are Fullerton American Legion Post 142, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11390 and the Fullerton Emblem Club 469.
