FULLERTON — Members of Neighbors United for Fullerton and the Sierra Club of Orange County will stage a free energy conservation forum at 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 5 at the Fullerton Public Library, 353 W. Commonwealth Ave.

Open to the public, the event will feature speakers who will demonstrate easy, cost-saving methods of "going green," said co-chairmen Ed and Dede Ginter of Fullerton.

Janet McNeil, who has an extensive background in higher public education, will discuss recycling and water conservation. She will offer conservation tips and advice compiled from research, observation and her own experience.

Suzanne Hofstetter, Christy Funk and Delilah Snell will discuss simple ways to create and maintain an eco-friendly home. Topics include natural, non-toxic and sustainable clothing, home cleaning products, baby wear and healthy cooking.

Retired CSF faculty members and Sierra Club members will host a panel to provide an overview of specific actions homeowners, apartment dwellers and managers can take to reduce electrical and natural gas use. They will also provide information for insulation, landscaping for house cooling, lighting and appliances.
