Scott Bredeson
•Title: Vice president-commercial loan officer

•Details: Bredeson’s responsibilities range from business development to financial analysis to loan structuring, including underwriting, loan portfolio management and quality, and developing customer relationships. Citizens Bank & Trust, with headquarters in Chillicothe, has nearly $1 billion in assets and 19 branches in 16 communities.
“I have always enjoyed the personal contact aspect of banking,” Bredeson said. “In my position I am able to meet a lot of people from varied backgrounds. I also enjoy being able to help my clients become more successful in their business ventures.”
•Education: He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from California State University in Fullerton.
•Background: Bredeson has been working as a lender in the Kansas City area for four years, most recently as commercial loan officer for Platte Valley Bank in the bank’s Parkville location. He gained most of his experience in California, where he began his career as a loan officer and progressed into management and credit administration.
Kathy Bryant
•Title: Golf operations manager

•Focus: Bryant, the president of Golf Marketing Solutions in Scottsdale, Ariz., has been hired to manage the Club at Stone Canyon, the new Greg Norman signature golf course being developed in Independence.
She brings two decades of experience in opening golf courses throughout the United States to her new post. In addition, she is responsible for the membership development of other private golf courses across the country.
•Thoughts: “It’s an incredibly exciting experience opportunity for the golfers in Independence. It’s also exciting for the city of Independence. We are taking a piece of land that can’t be used for an awful lot” — the course is being built on a landfill — “and making it aesthetically beautiful and useful to the city of Independence.”
•Background: She served as membership director of a club before spending 15 years in the hotel industry as director of sales. Her golf career began 25 years ago. Bryant has been a guest instructor at Scottsdale Community College and currently instructs at Arizona Golf Academy.
Joe Ross
•Title: Principal and president of the hospitality division
•Organization: Coldwell Banker Commercial Fishman & Co., 1948 E. Santa Fe, Olathe; 913-782-9000
•Education: Ross has a bachelor’s degree from Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington , Ky.
•Focus: With an extensive background in the hotel industry, Ross is charged with creating a hospitality unit at CBC Fishman & Co. He’s directing all brokerage and development transactions dealing with the hospitality industry, including interaction with hotel buyers and sellers as well as responsibility for new hotel site locations for developers and national franchisers. Ross works with major franchisers such as Holiday Inn, Marriott, Hyatt, Sheraton and Choice Hotels and is negotiating the final details for several properties, including two new boutique hotels for the Kansas City area.
Fishman & Co., a real estate brokerage, development, business brokerage and property management company of more than 35 years, recently teamed with Coldwell Banker Commercial. The affiliation changed the company name to Coldwell Banker Commercial Fishman & Co.
•Background: Ross has more than 47 years of experience in the industry. Ross has owned, operated and managed 55 hotels.
