CSUF event celebrates Vietnamese culture
Local Vietnamese business leaders organize VIBE with vendors, entertainment.

FULLERTON A three-day event celebrating local Vietnamese American culture runs today through Saturday at Cal State Fullerton.

The inaugural Vietnamese International Bridging Exposition (VIBE) will celebrate the arts, business and education.

It was organized by a group of young Vietnamese business people to "showcase all aspects of the true Vietnamese American." The free expo will include vendors, games and live entertainment.

Free first-aid classes in Vietnamese will also be given by the Red Cross.

The event takes place inside the university's Titan Student Union, 800 N. State College Blvd. For more information or to register, visit: www.vibexpo.com.

Organizers also are giving scholarships to five students at Cal State Fullerton. The students are: Jennifer Do, a senior kinesiology major; Katrina Ho, a senior English major; Mark Pham, a senior human-services major; Tamara Tran, a graduate student completing her teaching credential; and Tung Tran, a senior majoring in biology.
